Até o final de abril/14, acontece em NY a exposição The Kelpies, que são esculturas de cabeças de cavalos de 30 metros de altura, expostas ao ar livre, no Bryant Park.
Kelpies são cavalos sobrenaturais presentes no folclore celta, que se ligam às lendas da Escócia, terra do artista Andy Scott. Esses seres mitológicos representam a linhagem do cavalo pesado da indústria escocesa e da economia, puxando as carroças, arados, barcaças e coalships que moldaram a disposição geográfica da área de Falkirk, cidade a noroeste de Edimburgo.

The Kelpies
The sculptures were designed by sculptor Scottish Andy Scott.
The Kelpies name reflected the mythological transforming beasts possessing the strength and endurance of 10 horses; a quality that is analogous with the transformational change and endurance of Scotland's inland waterways. The Kelpies represent the lineage of the heavy horse of Scottish industry and economy, pulling the wagons, ploughs, barges and coalships that shaped the geographical layout of the Falkirk area.
