Começamos a semana seguindo com os destaques de lugares para ir em NY nesta temporada. O sushi bar do chef Eiji Ichimura, que serve o tradicional sushi "Edo-Mae" – inspirado no período Edo, onde a simplicidade era primordial na cultura japonesa - em um ambiente intimista, ganha lugar no Hot Spot de hoje.
Inicialmente formado em Tóquio, chef Ichimura vem aprimorando sua arte em Nova York há mais de 30 anos, experimentando, pesquisando e descobrindo sabores diversos e complexos para seu espaço.
O chef adora improvisar e adaptar o menu para cada cliente, seguindo a tendência absoluta que invade os restaurantes na Big Apple. As ofertas mudam diariamente, dependendo da disponibilidade sazonal dos ingredientes e de itens raros que chegam ao restaurante. Sempre há uma novidade e um prêmio ao paladar. E, claro, não tenha pressa, pois o espaço é extremamente limitado e as reservas só podem ser feitas diariamente, em dois períodos: às 18h e às 21h. Os menus Omakase começam em US$ 180. Initially trained in Tokyo Chef Ichimura has been honing his craft in New York City for over thirty years, experimenting with aging and curing the wide range of seafood available here to bring out a surprising depth and complexity of flavor.
Omakase menus start at $180, with Chef Ichimura improvising and tailoring the menu to each individual customer. Offerings change daily depending on seasonal availability or unusual or rare items that have arrived.
Seating in the sushi area is extremely limited, reservations can only be made by calling us directly at 212-791-3771. Ichimura reservations are accepted in two seatings at 6pm and 9pm.
